49 dead, 2 million affected by habagat floods
MANILA - Forty-nine people have died and more than 2 million people in Metro Manila and several Luzon provinces have been affected by heavy rains caused by a storm-enhanced "habagat" or the southwest monsoon.

Marikina River tops 19 meters, forced evacuation now in force (VIDEO)
Marikina local authorities started the forced evacuation for their residents as of 6:40 a.m., specially to those living in critical areas. As the Marikina river already beyond the critical level of 18 meters.
MMDA said, "the river's level has reached 19.1 meters above sea level"

YUMUL ON FLOOD SUIT: 'BLAME RAIN, NOT US'

ALBAY GOV BLASTS PAGASA FOR 'WRONG' FORECASTS
by Jojo Malig, abs-cbnNEWS.com - MANILA, Philippines - Albay Governor Joey Salceda on Tuesday lashed out at state weather bureau PAGASA for alleged wrong weather forecasts that led to the death of 10 people in the Bicol region.
In an interview with "S.R.O. sa DZMM," Salceda said PAGASA failed to issue the correct weather bulletins even while tropical storm Juaning was dumping rain and toppling trees in his province.
